These Hawkeyes were caught SOARing last week! The weekly S.O.A.R. award is given to elementary students who display the following positive behaviors: S- Safety (I will act in a way that protects myself and others.) O- On Task (I will focus on what we are learning and only my own work.) A- Achievement (I will show my best effort in all that I do.) R- Respect (I will respect myself, others, and our school. The Hawkeyes filled the PBIS marble jar to the top! Our entire elementary was rewarded with a yummy popcorn party for their positive behaviors! Congratulations to Ty for winning the "Student/Athlete Cornbelt Award" for Bound this Fall. The Corn Belt Award is a scholarship and championship belt awarded to Iowa high school student-athletes who demonstrate leadership, character, and active participation in school and community activities. The award is presented by Bound Iowa and Wyffels Hybrids. Ty will have a her belt presented to her in the High School Gym next Wednesday, December 11th. Congratulations Ty!

Thank you to Mr. Goodwater and the students who came to the park on Friday afternoon to help decorate the park. Your help was greatly appreciated. Everyone is invited to come back on Saturday, November 30, from 3:00 -5:00 p.m. when the lights are turned on. Special guests at the event will be reindeer, a camel, a cow, a donkey, sheep, and other Nativity scene animals. It should be an amazing experience! Hope to see you there!
