This morning the school was made aware that an incident occurred in Mondamin. We were in contact with Harrison County Law Enforcement as soon as we were made aware of the incident. Harrison County Law Enforcement advised that there is no immediate threat at this time. As always, it is our priority to keep students and staff safe and our community updated in situations like this.

Week of April 17-21
These Hawkeyes were caught SOARing last week! This weekly award is given to students who display the following positive behaviors:
S-Safety (I will act in a way that protects myself and others.)
O-On Task (I will focus on what we are learning and only my own work.)
A- Achievement (I will show my best effort in all that I do.)
R- Respect (I will respect myself, others, and our school. I am kind and helpful.)
The winners were Mark, Gage, Maverick, Shaylyn, Weston, Asher, and River! Way to go Hawkeyes, keep SOARing!

Part 2
Earlier this week our elementary students had a school-wide celebration for filling the marble jar (again!) as a part of our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) program. Students earn SOAR tickets each time they are caught meeting our expectations of Safety, On Task, Achievement, and Respect. Each week winners are drawn and recognized for meeting expectations, and for each ticket they earn a marble goes in the jar. When the marble jar is full, the entire elementary earns a reward. This week the students enjoyed a popcorn party and BINGO games.

Good Afternoon,
I wanted to inform you that this morning Logan CSD received a report of a suspicious red van which the school reported to law enforcement. The driver allegedly stopped and asked students at a bus stop if they needed a ride to school. The driver was described as a middle-aged female. The van is identified as a red cargo van with a Hawkeye sticker near the rear license plate. In the interest of student safety, I felt the need to pass along this information.
