Hawkeye Lift A Thon 2023
West Harrison 7-12 Athletes have the opportunity to fundraise in our 2023 Lift A Thon. Athletes can get forms for the event in the weight room or HS office. Athletes will collect donations/pledges for their max out from June 23rd to July 11th. Forms and Money are due by July 11th to the High School office or you can bring it in the day of the maxes. Maxes will be completed on July 11th. Athletes can complete their maxes between 8am-10am that morning and from 4-5:30pm that evening.

Unfortunately, our West Harrison Softball Team has fallen under the needed 9 players to compete. The team will be forfeiting their remaining 5 games of the season due to this issue. We will still hold a senior/parent night for the girls at the boys baseball game on Monday, June 26th. This will be a 5:30 start, 1 varsity game only, so athletes and parents will be announced at the conclusion of infields by both teams, approximately 5:20. We will hold Softball athlete/parent recognition prior to the baseball athletes/parent recognition on this night.
Here is the schedule for this week for baseball.
June 19 at Glidden (JV/V starting at 5:30)
June 20 at Coon Rapids (Varsity Double Header starting at 5:30)
June 22 at CAM (JV/V starting at 5:30)
June 23 in Mondamin vs BV (JV/V starting at 5:30- Youth Boys Baseball night)

The baseball game tomorrow June 16 in Mondamin Vs EEHK will be one Varsity game at 5:30 pm due to short numbers for JV.
The softball team will be in Kimbalton for a double header starting at 5:00pm tomorrow, June 16.
Here is the format for our Tony Nunez Baseball Classic Tournament this Saturday, June 17th in Mondamin.
9am- West Harrison Vs Whiting
11am- Sidney Vs Fremont Mills
1pm- 3rd/4th Place game (losers of game 1 and 2)
3pm- Championship (winners of game 1 and 2)
We will have concessions available and admission will be $6 Adult and $4 Student
Schools in Iowa are required to follow a new Physical Form for athletes. You can find this new form under the "Parents/Students" tab on our webpage. You can also get a copy on the front counter of the High School office.
Any student participating in athletics 7-12 grade for the school district will need to have an updated physical before participating (this includes practicing) for their sport. Please remember to complete the other 3 forms required by the district involving, Heads up Concussion, Medical Insurance Form, Athletes Health Information Card also found on the webpage in the same area. It is encouraged that if your child will be doing athletics for West Harrison that you turn in an updated physical at the start of the school year or prior to August if your child is in High School Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, or Cheer.

BASEBALL / SOFTBALL UPDATES:
There is no game tonight for HS baseball/softball vs CRB due to field conditions and the forecast for more rain. There will be a makeup date determined at a later time.
Also the HS Softball team will play Boyer Valley on Tuesday night, June 13, 1 game at 7pm.
The HS Softball game on June 16 will be an away game in Kimbalton. This game will be a 5pm start and will be a double header.
Starting June 12th, the high school office hours will be Monday thru Thursday open from 7:30am to 11am. The school will not be open on Fridays. The office will also be closed the week of July 3rd thru July 7th. Thank you

The HS Girls Softball game that was rescheduled for tonight June 6th in Vail has been cancelled.
The Softball rescheduled game for tonight, June 6, will be one game in Vail vs. Ar We Va @ 5:30pm.
The HS Girls Softball game scheduled for tonight in ARWEVA has been cancelled. We are working on a rescheduled date.
The HS boys varsity will play first tonight in Dunlap at 5:30 pm.
